Biography

1940's - Received 1st Punch
On January 10, 1949 the soon to be champ was born to J.D. and Nancy Foreman in Marshall, Texas.

1950's - Started Punching Back!

One of seven children, Big George often went a few rounds...especially around dinnertime!




1960's Achieved Olympic Gold Medal

Foreman started boxing in the Job Corps, and in 1968 he won an Olympic Gold medal.





1970's Became WORLD CHAMPION

Big George challenged "Smokin' Joe Frazier" for the Heavyweight Title. He knocked Frazier to the canvas six times before a second round knockout victory.

 





1980's Made Sportswriters Scratch Their Heads

After a ten year retirement in 1987 Foreman began his comeback and soon became a top contender.




1990's Regained the HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE

At the young age of 45, Big George showed the world that age was just a number after knocking out 26 year old Michael Moorer out in the 10th round.
